FAQs

How do I get more information about one of your rentals? Additional information and interior pictures can be found by clicking on the main picture of the home. If you have more questions regarding a property that are not answered on that page, please call us at 541-385-1515 or email us at info@rentingoregon.com. How do I make an appointment to view properties? You can call our office at 541-385-1515 or email to info@rentingoregon.com to make an appointment. Please keep in mind that if the property is not available until a future date, it may still be occupied by a current tenant. If you would like to see an occupied property, we will gladly call the tenants to schedule with them, but please keep in mind we must give them at least 24 hours notice and we always try to work with their busy schedules as well. We ask that you drive-by the properties before calling to schedule an appointment. As a reminder, please do not disturb our residents by coming onto their property or asking them to show you their home. Will I be the only person viewing the property at my appointment? We endeavor to show property on a one-on-one basis whenever possible, but on those properties that are occupied by tenants, we are also trying to minimize the impact to our current tenant, so we may schedule more than one showing at a time. Also, during the busy season, we may have to show multiple people at one time to give everyone a chance to see the property. Why do you ask for a copy of identification before showing properties? This is a safety precaution for our employee who will be meeting you at the property. It is important for our in-office staff to always be informed as to who the showing personnel are with and at what location. The identification that is received is immediately scanned to a secure server and any hard copy is placed in SecureShred. You can provide us with ID by faxing it to 541-385-6767, scan and email to info@rentingoregon.com or take a picture of your ID with your smartphone and send it info@rentingoregon.com. Do all of your properties accept pets? Please refer to the individual property listings on the tab “property for rent”, as each home is separately owned and each owner may have a different pet policy. Please note, if the listing says “small pets considered” this usually means only pets under 35 lbs. will be considered. The majority of the property owners ask for an additional refundable deposit of $250 PER PET, but again, an individual owner may ask for more or less than that amount. The decision by the owner to accept a certain type or number of pets is made during the application process. How do I know if I will qualify for a property? Please refer to the “application” tab, the downloadable document contains our applicant screening guidelines that clearly outlines the requirements and the alternatives that the owner may accept if they cannot be met. Can you tell me more about your application process? We process completed applications in the order they are received at our office. They are only complete if they are fully filled out, with the accompanying applicant screening charge, copy of ID, and proof of income. Please remember that ANYONE over 18 who is going to live at the home must fill out an application. Due to the confidential nature of the information, we are not able to accept applications at the showings. What if I want to add a roommate to my lease after I move in? Any new occupant would need to fill out an application and have that application approved by the owner BEFORE moving in to the property. Please be aware that the applicant screening guidelines apply to all tenants, and an owner may deny a roommate application. What if I want to get a pet after I have moved in? If the home you are renting will consider pets, please go to our website under the “properties for rent” tab, and click on Forms. Please fill out the Pet Application and return to our office. If the pet is approved by the owner, the additional deposit has been paid, and the pet addendum has been signed, the pet will then be allowed on the property. Please be aware that the property owner may deny a pet. How do I know what school district this home is in? Please go to www.bend.k12.or.us and click on “Attendance Areas”. |
